Good fan for price paid; noisier than expected. Purchased the 3000 RPM version. Overall, seems like a good fan for the price paid. Used to repair a GE Opal ice maker whose fan died. Getting to the fan to replace it was a pain and I had the change the electrical connector, but that’s not the fan’s fault. Overall, it was as easy to install as any other fan would be under the circumstances. Only complaint is it’s a little noisier than led to believe from specifications, but for the increased air flow I can live with it.
Works well. Bought to enhance the cooling of a 27″ 2015 iMac. Removed the ram cover and placed a fan for additional air circulation. A bit noisy but it seems to do the job. I use it primarily when playing games so the sound isn’t an issue and I can easily unplug the generously long usb power cord when I’m using the iMac for regular tasks. Good value for the money.
Keeps my 13700k cold at 35c. The NZXT Kraken 360 is a liquid CPU cooler designed for high-performance cooling in desktop systems. In this unbiased review, we’ll evaluate its various aspects to provide you with a comprehensive overview.**Cooling Performance (4.5/5):** The NZXT Kraken 360 offers excellent cooling performance, thanks to its 360mm radiator and powerful fans. With a larger surface area and efficient liquid cooling, it’s capable of keeping your CPU temperatures in check even under heavy workloads or during overclocking. It’s a great choice for users who demand top-tier cooling capabilities.**Noise Levels (4/5):** While the Kraken 360 provides impressive cooling, the noise levels can be a bit of a concern. The included fans can get a bit loud when running at full speed. However, this can be mitigated by adjusting fan profiles through the software. At lower speeds, the noise levels are more acceptable, but if you’re looking for a whisper-quiet system, you may need to make custom fan curve adjustments.**Build Quality (4.5/5):** NZXT is known for its quality build, and the Kraken 360 is no exception. The cooler features a solid construction with a durable pump and radiator. The tubes are flexible yet sturdy, and the overall build instills confidence in its long-term reliability.**Installation (4/5):** Installing the Kraken 360 can be a bit more involved than air coolers, especially due to the radiator and fan setup. However, NZXT provides clear and detailed instructions, and most users with a basic understanding of PC components should be able to handle the installation. The mounting system is secure, ensuring proper contact with the CPU.**Software (4/5):** The NZXT CAM software is a crucial part of the Kraken 360 experience. It provides comprehensive control over the cooler, allowing you to fine-tune fan speeds and monitor temperatures. The software is user-friendly, but some users may find it resource-intensive. It’s worth noting that you’ll need to install the software to unlock the cooler’s full potential.**Aesthetics (5/5):** The Kraken 360 is known for its aesthetics. It features customizable RGB lighting on the pump head, allowing users to match it with their system’s color scheme. The RGB effects are vibrant, and the pump head design is sleek, making it a visually appealing addition to any build.**Value (4/5):** The NZXT Kraken 360 is positioned in the premium cooler category, and while it offers excellent cooling performance, build quality, and aesthetics, it might not be the best value for users on a tight budget. If you’re willing to invest in a high-end liquid cooler with top-notch features, this is an excellent choice.**Conclusion:**The NZXT Kraken 360 is a high-performance liquid CPU cooler that excels in cooling capabilities, build quality, and aesthetics. It’s an ideal choice for enthusiasts and gamers who prioritize efficient cooling and want a cooler that looks as good as it performs. While the noise levels at high fan speeds could be a drawback for some, the overall experience and customizability provided by the NZXT CAM software make it a premium cooling solution for those willing to invest in their PC setup.
Small but does the job. A great little fan for keeping your systems cool and not overheating. Just plugs into a USB port on your system, and it powers up when the system turns on (I’m using on a PS3). Slight noise from such a small thing, but it’s nothing too overly annoying. Definitely a worth buy.
Used in wine fridge. My wine fridge uses a fan to even temps top to bottom. After 9 months the original fan died. This was a drop in replacement. Fair price and quiet.
Great cooler, looks outstanding. I’ve only had mine up for a short time now, installed on a B650 Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX motherboard with a 7800x3D in an NZXT H6 Flow case, but it’s been perfect for what I wanted. The AIO itself is probably overkill for a 7800x3D, so if you’re strictly looking to cool your fancy shmancy new processor you don’t have to spend this much to do it. Go for a Thermalright Phantom Spirit or something inexpensive; this is only really necessary if you want the aesthetic that it provides. Since I live in an old house with no AC, an AIO can be a nice help in the hot summer months and the ease of airflow in and out of the case makes keeping the entire system relatively cool a lot easier, but still… it’s a premium price for the look you want more than the functionality. This AIO does include brackets for AM4, AM5, and for Intel LGA1700 installs, and it’s deceptively easy to install; the instructions aren’t particularly clear, and I’ve normally just stuck with air cooling in the past so this was a new one for me.Since I installed it on AM5, it was just a matter of removing the plastic CPU brackets on the motherboard and then screwing in the dual-post screws (long side toward motherboard, instructions are unclear on this) with the AIO’s included plastic brackets for each facing in the indicated way for AM5. The metal bracket on the CPU cooler twists off easily, and you can then just replace it with the version you need if the pre-installed bracket wasn’t what you wanted. Thermal paste is pre-applied to the cooler, and the pipes from the cooler to the radiator are flexible enough to be adjusted to however you need them to be.And that’s pretty much it, just screw it on with the provided thumb screws and you’re done. Watching an install video can help if you’re a first timer or uncomfortable with the process, but it’s much easier than it appears at first glance and was much more simple than dealing with some of the annoying backplate support designs that some air coolers have. The NZXT CAM software has been easy to use and has plenty of useful information on it, you can rotate and customize the display of the CPU cooler to show what you want (I use GPU/CPU temp information on mine, looks nice and functionally useful). No complaints about the software at all, sometimes that sort of thing can be futzy to deal with but this was very simple to set up and understand how to use.Overall, it’s outstanding. The install was easy, the fans aren’t silent but aren’t any louder than my case fans, it keeps everything very cool even on a warm day…. couldn’t ask for much more. If something like this looks cool to you for the build you’re doing and you can afford the price difference over air cooling, I can’t imagine anyone being unhappy with this one.
Replacement fan for incubator. I have an incubator for poultry eggs that was making a horrendous noise because one of the blades broke off one of the fans in it. The fan is 120mm x 120mm with an unusually long (roughly 16″) two-wire power lead. The replacement fan (one of two in the pack) has a shorter lead (11.8″ per the specs), but is long enough to work in this application.Installation of these fans would be simple if they were being put into a computer case, as I’ve done many times before. With the incubator however, disassembly of the unit was necessary, and that included removal of hot glue (or something similar) that was used to secure all the wiring in place in the unit. The wiring was not only for the fans, but also for the temperature and humidity sensors, the automatic egg turner, and the heater. This made the installation far more difficult than it might have otherwise been.Once a significant amount of the hot glue was removed, it allowed enough space for the fan connector to fit through the opening between the controls and the main unit. This allowed me to remove the old fan and install the new fan in its place. Because these fans came with grilles, I installed the grilles in front of the fans to prevent something sticking into the blade, which I believe is why my first fan failed. With the new fan and both grilles installed, I was able to secure the wiring in place so the heating element (which is basically like a string) would stay taut, so it would function properly. I was then able to reassemble the rest of the incubator and test everything to make sure it was working correctly. Success! After the successful replacement of the fan, the incubator is once again working quietly as it did when new. The replacement fan worked well in this application, and if I ever need to replace another, I still have a spare.
Great fans. Bought the two pack of these fans and made a cooling unit for behind my RV refrigerator, Florida heat was building up behind the wall and these fans have dropped the temps by 15 degrees .
Replacement fan. We got this to replace a fan in a mini fridge. Works beautifully, installed in minutes, quiet running. Came in a two-pack. Good value!
These are very quiet, but. If noise is your first concern and volume of air moved is secondary, these are perfect. These are very quiet, but they don’t move as much air as I had hoped. I compared these to a fan the same physical size that I had from an old computer. The older fan is much louder and according to my meter, draws about 220 mA even though it is labeled 500 mA – and it seems to move about 2 to 3 times more air than these. My meter says these draw about 120 mA.
Incredible quality at a great price. This is a 3 pack bundle of premium 120mm PC case fans. They sport hydraulic bearings and come with built-in rubber fan mount grommets to reduce vibration and noise. They’re practically silent until they spin upwards of 1500 RPM and even then it’s not intrusive at all from a distance of perhaps 3 feet away. I replaced my RGB front intakes with these fans and they’re so much less distracting, quieter, and reduced CPU core temp at idle in ambient temps by as much as 3 C. Normally, it runs 1-2 C cooler on average and I’m very pleased with how quiet these fans are and its performance.I learned when I was configuring the fan settings on my mobo BIOS that the lowest speed attainable was around 350 RPM whereas max hovered at around 2100 and 2200. This is more or less, in line with specs as reported on the product listings so FYI. Further, the fans are listed to provide airflow of up to 58 CFM. These certainly aren’t Noctuas but nowhere priced like it and more than performant as case in/outtake fans so no qualms there.Btw, they felt about 1.5x heavier than the RGB fans that were replaced and sports much more durable and effectively designed fins to increase airflow. Hydraulic bearings will ensure a much longer operation so it checked off all the boxes for me to give it a perfect, 5 star rating. I’d highly recommend them to others. Further, I’d add to the reader to grab them before price indubitably goes up to market norms.
Works all day and keeps my Linux computer cool. I use this with a mini Linux-based computer (about 4″x4″x1/2″. I used a very small piece of double-sided tape to attach it to the hottest section of the computer. I did not cover any computer cooling fins. The fan immediately brought down the temperature and continued to do so all day and night. It does make some noise, but it is no big deal. And if the fan ever gives out, I have three more as backups!
Pretty good for the price. These fans are a great choice if you’re looking for something affordable but efficient. They fit great and the installation was super easy. Connecting multiple fans was made easy with their split cables. Super quiet and keep my pc nice and cold. Great buy.
Very quiet. My first order, both fans were DOA. Amazon replaced them, and that set is just fine. Also, while the fans were sealed in bags, there was no instructions, which at first seemed logical, not alot to replacing a fan, my intended use did not need the supplied connector and was going to cut the wires anyway. The replacement fans came with instructions and in them it tells how to take the wire connector apart to adapt to your system need. What is nice about these is you get the grills and mounting hardware. They are a very quiet fan and move a lot of air. This fans draw 120MA at 12 VDC, I am using 2 in series with a 33 ohm 1 watt, droppng resistor to run them off a 28V supply.
Cool product. I bought three sets (6) for my car audio system. No heat problem since
I’ve used Ryujin 360 and H150i before, but this one is just greater than those two.
work well enough if not ran around the clock. Works well off the USB, very quiet. The are not the longest lasting fans out there thou. I’ve been through 2 cooling a RPI5 in a year. I admit, that computer runs 24/7 thou, so of course depends on what your using them for.
Works perfect. Used this to keep air flowing in a wood drying kiln. Worked great!
The product showed up on time, I was nervous about getting computer parts shipped, but it showed up in the box not damaged at all! It works great and fit perfectly!
Great. Long time company. Look great and upgraded stats of case and cooler. Lifetime is unknown. Will update if any issues. So far so great. Use caution as vendors vary greatly. Awesome value to performace.
3d printed housing for these to cool heatsink for motion controller board. quiet…good volume for heatsink…..longevity?……glad i have 3 spare now….
Je n’ai aucun problème, c’est parfait 😎
Very good and simple fans. These ID-Cooling AS-120-K fans are definitely interesting, with some modern day options implemented, now these fans come with some good specs, at least on paper that is, from 300 up to 2000RPMs and max of 58CFM airflow (which is not a lot considering the RPMs, but at least the noise generated is at 27.2DB) and hydraulic bearing motors plus PWM daisy chain option. I can speak of the positives, and there are plenty of them to be listed, but there are a good number of negatives as well to be discussed as well, before that a few quick words about the packing and presentation. The fans come in a sort of industrial two color package that is listing all the technical specifications in the back and pictures of the fan as well. Inside the package there are the three fans, the fan mounting screws, and the user manual and that is it.Positives:- High quality made – everything about these fans screams quality, the ABS white mat plastic is very solid, the construction is not your regular fan construction, it is a custom mold with built in rubber isolators on all four corners, turbine style blades and construction to help with static pressure, again excellent quality.- Long extension cables and daisy chain capabilities – The pre attached cables are long, but the biggest benefit is that the fans can be daisy chained together and connected on only one point.- Can be used with AIO liquid coolers – With 1.94 mmH2O of static pressure this fan is a suitable replacement with some OEM AIO’s, for example the ones that come with HP Omen 30L.- 120mm size and suitable for tower coolers, PC cases and AIO’s, so you can use it with different options.- Inexpensive, under $20 for 3 of those in the pack is a fair price of what you get, good quality fans and good static pressure.- Fairly quiet – At 27.2DB max, these fans are some of the most silent out there, granted not a lot of air is being pushed out, but a good amount.Negatives:- No ARGB or RGB with the AS-120-K, although that is not a huge negative for me, I know most computer enthusiasts would prefer the ARGB option.- Not ideal for a case fan, but great for water cooling solutions, highly recommended for radiators only.- Slightly on a louder side, I have seen similar models from other brands being a tad more silent.Well, overall a great quality product by ID-Cooling, just make sure to consider the right application.
🥰🥰🥰. Un buen producto lo recomiendo
They do what they should. I bought these to install in the outside vent for my camper refrigerator. Only installed one so I have a spare. Nice that these move a good amount of air without making a lot of noise. These work great for my application. Not sure how they would work in a computer case.
