Easy to clean and does not retain scent. Helped solve an “outside the box” problem. One of our two cats had enough of the smelly plastic litter box. No matter how I scrubbed, the odor would not completely go away. So — she decided the surrounding carpet worked even better as a place to pee. We have been trying lots of things to get the old odor out of the carpet so she would go back to using the litter box. Turns out, it was the litter box, itself, that was a big part of the problem. We changed litter to an “attract” brand and changed to this stainless box.The box is large enough for her. No matter how large the box, she stands very near the end to pee. With the plastic boxes, the clumping stuck hard to the wall. With this, even if the clump is against the wall, it lifts away easily. The scoop is the best I’ve ever used. I’ve tried plastic, painted metal and stainless scoops, but none compare to this. It is absolutely stable and strong, the handle is easy to hold and the spaces between the metal grids is large enough to let loose litter to fall through, but keeping the clumped litter.
No more smell. My kids told me to get these and I was hesitant but with 2 cats I was desperate to find something to help with the smell because the plastic ones were not it. These look cleaner and no smell. They are deep and hold a good amount of litter. The clumps do not get stuck to the sides and makes it easier to clean. No more plastic litter boxes for us! Don’t hesitate and get these!
switched to the stainless steel side. After trying one stainless steel litter box, I’ve now switched to them since they are much easier to clean than plastic ones. It’s easier to scrape any clinging litter or other messes from them, and yes, they repel odors much better, too. Having four cats in the house, we have several litter boxes (which need cleaning often) and receive a lot of use. They take a lot of use without any scratches or dents, and look nice (as much as a litter box can). They cost a bit more than plastic litter boxes, but this stainless steel litter box will last for years.
pretty good, definitely needs higher walls. my cat poops over the edge of these frequently. I would be sure to order if there’s an option for a higher wall unless the cat has a hard time getting into litter boxes. they don’t smell and they’re easy to clean. I use a clumping clay litter and it doesn’t stick to the bottom either which is really nice and the reason I bought it. but beware of the height of the walls
Sturdy pan that keeps in the litter and the pee… if your cat will fit in it. I have had this litter pan set up for over a week now and my three kitties have only used it a couple of times. I know cats are very resistant to change and do not like to try new things so it may be a while longer before they really accept it.That said, I do think it is a great litter box… the tall sides are great for keeping in the litter scatter. And when one of the cats is standing up more than he should when peeing (which unfortunately does occasionally happen with our kitties), it will keep that inside which is really helpful. The steel pan is easy to clean and should last a very, very long time unlike most of my plastic litter pans which have a split on them and have been taped. The ramp included with the steel pan is a great idea- it catches litter off the cat’s paws as they come out of the box. But in reality it needs to be longer: the cat in the photos just launches himself out in a giant leap to avoid the ramp altogether, thus scattering more litter around. Oh, silly kitties.The one drawback is that it is not as “XL” as the manufacturer thinks it is. It is roughly the same size as most of the pans I already have. In the photo you can see our pan on the right and the steel one on the left. The model kitty is about 13 pounds. Not tiny but certainly not huge. The plastic walls on the steel pan actually make it a little narrow for him. So if you have smaller kitties this is something worth trying. But don’t bother if your kitties are large.
Wish I’d had this sooner. This litter box is the best I’ve ever had. Will never go back to plastics. Easy to clean, no smells, and my cat likes it. Definitely the way to go.

Amazing. My cats love this litter box and it’s so easy to clean! If you have two cats I would say get the XL it’s so spacious for them and holds a good amount of litter. Also no smell is absorbed into the box since it’s stainless steel. Totally worth the money.
What took me so long. The fact that I’m writing about a kitty litter box being fabulous should speak for itself. I have a very large white kitty that is very particular about his litter. This litter box is fabulous. And all of my other previous litter boxes I would take and bounce it off the floor gently of course, to get the kitty litter off the sides, and off the bottom, which inevitably would crack and urine would come out. Alas, The metal box is the true answer to low smell, and no litter that is sticking on the sides. Easy to clean up… As well as it being long enough for my big Kitty. This is a must purchase.

Perfect for larger cats who tend to make a mess. My kitty is relatively larger than most cats, which has caused issues with litter boxes in the past. She also has a bad habit of not turning around to pee, so it typically piles up by the entrance. So far none of the clumps have stuck to the litter box, keeping the litter clean and not super smelly. The side wall is just high enough to keep litter from coming out, but low enough for my kitty to jump over the side (which is for some reason her preferred way to exit a litter box). It is also HUGE; I’ve had XL litter boxes in the past, but they still looked cramped for her. This litter box though is extremely spacious for her, and she has no issues moving around in it.Pros:- very spacious- walls are just high enough to prevent messes- wet litter doesn’t stick to the bottom- since litter doesn’t stick or absorb into the litter box, it doesn’t get smelly- high quality with a good price pointCons:- none, my cat and I both love itRating:11/10 ⭐️
Works great for my ragdoll cat. This product has been great! I really like the sleek design of it and that it includes a step inside and outside to help collect extra litter from tracking. The stainless steel and simple to remove top make it easy to clean. The size is great for my cat as he is close to full size now and is a big boy! You don’t have to worry about the smell seeping into the plastic bottom or any leaks at all! I really appreciate how well this product works and the way it looks!! Would definitely recommend it!
This is awesome. Right off the bat I was impressed with this litter box. The stainless steel pan is obviously sturdy but even the plastic top is nice and sturdy and clips on to the pan nicely. There’s a little box on the side to put the scoop in which is a nice detail as well. This is our 3rd litter box and so far my favorite. The bottom is flat and smooth which makes scooping so much easier and the top is shaped well to stop litter scatter for the most part. Now, I am not using the step that came with it because it’s not high and my cats can easily jump in. Also, the box is big (which is good) but with the step in front of it it’s just too big for the 1/2 bathroom we keep the downstairs litter box in. Also, the bonus mat that came with it is super tiny and just not worth it in my opinion. We have a nice big mat that I put the box on and that seems to be a good set up for us. I’m not taking stars off for the mat or the step because the box its self is so good those just feel like extras, but I thought I would include the info in case someone was super interested in this because of those features.
Easy to clean stainless steel. This very big, so it will accommodate large cats. I like that it is stainless steel because it’s easy to clean and stainless steel does not absorb odor like plastic does. The top snaps on and comes off easily. It doesn’t come off too easily. I’m just saying it’s not difficult to take off. It comes with a scooper and a cup that hangs from the side of the litter box to hold the scooper. This is nice cause your scooper is always nearby. You don’t have to keep up with it. It has a step that is nice if you have older cats that don’t move as easily. Since the letterbox has high sides, the step will help them to get into the litter box easily. The step has holes to catch litter off their paws when they come out and it also comes with a mat for doing that. The step has rubber feet on the bottom of it and for a rubber pads come with it to put on the bottom of a litter box itself. The mat feels fairly cheap so I’m not a big fan of it but it does have one. The texture of the mat will help to collect letter as well. If you’re looking for a large litter box, I do recommend this one.
Awesome litter box. We have a high peeing cat – male that had blockage and surgery so he doesn’t have the bits to pee down. This causes a LOT of problems with pretty much any litter box. We tried many and they all seem to leak or have stairs that get soaked when he decides to turn around.Just set this one up to replace a plain container with high walls. The container worked but is hard to clean and is very high. When he hops out litter is everywhere. The design of this box is nice – metal bottom which is easy to clean and the sides hang over the edge to keep the high pee situation in the box. Since it isn’t totally covered I hope that he faces backward and does not pee out the opening.The accessories are nice as well such as the scoop and the holder plus the little step in front with container to catch little on the way out. The mat is awesome and looks like it will do a much better job of collecting litter than the 14 yr old mat we were using.Overall I think this is a great box and crossing my fingers that it will solve our issue in style and with a cat friendly design. Will update if there are any issues like big flaws or he manages to pee over the sides (not a potential flaw but something useful to know for others in this situation).
Nice item, came damaged though. This item arrived very quickly. The packaging seemed okay but once I unboxed, there were two gigantic dents at the bottom corners. You can see them in the picture. Super disappointing because they are BIG. Yes, litter will cover them up but for $70, I expected a much better job with packaging and quality control. That aside, this was easy to assemble- took just a few minutes. The litter box is a great size and the high walls seems to keep the area around it clean. We have older cats so the steps are a big help! It is also super handy to have a scooper built on the side! I will say that while it is nice to have a mat included, it is small and does feel a little cheap. I can’t speak to how well the litter box holds up because the cats are suspicious and haven’t used it yet lol but I will update this review if anything changes.
Love it. My litter boxes were getting a bit stinky and I saw these stainless steel boxes. I’m glad I tried them! They make cleaning the boxes easier and clumps don’t stick as badly to the bottom as with the plastic. My cats like to scratch and dig and the plastic bottoms would get scratched and I believe their odors would get into the box bottom for double stink! This doesn’t happen with the stainless steel. Super easy to clean and holds a good deal of litter. I like the high surround which keeps litter from flying out and the paw wiper on the front is pretty cool too. I got rid of my other plastic litter box and replaced it with one of these. Cats love it.
Superior litter box – highly recommend. This is a perfect cat litter box. 5 stars. I will never go back to a covered, plastic litter box after having this one in place for over 3 months. It is very easy to clean; once I’ve scooped, I smooth out the litter so it is obvious when my cat has used the box – when I see disrupted litter, that is my signal to scoop. It takes 2 minutes to scoop, put the clumps into the nearby Litter Genie, and wash my hands. Two minutes and done, compared to a covered litter box that is all too easy to ignore and then becomes a messy, smelly time-consuming chore to clean/dump the whole thing, what a pain. This stainless steel litter box, coupled with my Litter Genie and World’s Best Cat Litter, keeps both my cat and me very happy. Zero odor. None. Ever.The attached high sides prevent litter scatter from the sides of the box – at least in my case, because my cat doesn’t jump over the sides; she uses the “entrance” cutaway and the end of the box. However, I do get some scatter from the box entrance. The “litter catcher” bin that is staged on the floor at the entrance does catch some of the litter scatter from cat-exit, but I still have a bit of litter scatter because my cat jumps out of the box rather than walking over the catch-bin. I don’t consider this a drawback. Scatter depends on the cat litter, and your cat’s “exit style.” (Note – those litter-catcher mats are a pain to clean and not worth the expense and cleaning time; don’t bother. Tried various types. No joy. I prefer simply to keep a little broom and dustpan set at hand near the litter box. It takes only a minute or two to sweep up litter scatter and dispose.)The length and width of this litter box are ideal for a larger cat. My kitty is 14 lbs; she has plenty of room to decide her spot, especially with no “cover” to restrict her. She simply steps into the box, with no crouching or hunching to get in and out, does what she wants to do, and then does a simple exit hop. No fuss. Happy cat.This is a great cat litter box. My cat and I highly recommend it!P.S. This cat litter box + Litter Genie + World’s Best Cat Litter (unscented) = zero odor and a very happy cat.
Great set just not right for our picky XL cats. This stainless steel pan is a nice upgrade from plastic, easy to clean and a good size for bigger cats. The top and other components are a great addition, it even comes with a scooper and step. But our cats aren’t enjoying the top section, they are quite large and used to having a lot of space to maneuver in and we might just take it off and use the open pan. But maybe they’ll get used to it! A good set, well made and should be a win for most cats!
