Squirrels are EVERYWHERE. The media could not be loaded. But I don’t even MIND that I find the six squirrels that stuff the ginormous version of this toy ALL over the house–or outside. I bought this a few weeks ago for our almost four month old German Shorthaired Pointer puppy. She LOVES it–and in a house FULL of dog toys (I mean–it really IS ridiculous) she goes back to this one over and over. She really likes when I play with her with the toy–squeaking the squirrels and then throwing them so she can fetch them. Sometimes she brings them back–even mastering carrying two at a time, which I thought impressive–or sometimes she wants to play keep away. It’s great that you can stuff the plush tree trunk over and over and over–and put other toys or a treat or two in there besides. I haven’t had to wash it yet, but I think it will hold up well. I like that you can get replacement squirrels too–the first couple of days two of the six squirrels went missing–but they resurfaced. I bought the Ginormous size because more is—well, more. I liked that it came with six squirrels (so it wouldn’t matter so much if she tore up or lost a couple of them)and the larger one was only a few dollars more than the next size down and had twice as many squirrels. It was less than $18 at this writing and qualified for Amazon PRIME shipping (almost immediate gratification.) Normally I buy plush toys for the dog at yard sales for a buck or two–but I’d purchase this toy again without hesitation. If I had to pinpoint one concern it might be that the squirrels are not very big. It’s fine right now, but when she’s a bigger dog–they look like she could swallow one. But I am trusting that the dog toy design people have considered this potential hazard. Also, one of the squirrels now makes a slightly weak squeak compared to the others, but almost NO squeaky toy can stand up to vigorous chewing forever. And if they all quit working I can just buy more squirrels! I shot a short video of my puppy playing with this toy. The footage doesn’t do the toy justice. It’s 97 degrees outside right now and neither the dog nor I feel like running around in THAT heat. But I’m going to try to include the footage because she does the typical animal shake with it. And she’s beautiful. Get this toy. I highly recommend it.update: 03/28/2013–Dog is a year old now. We still have this toy and the squirrels–largely intact. A month ago she did rip a tear between two of the holes in the plush tree trunk. However, a needle and thread fixed it. I’ve looked back at some of the negative reviews about how this toy didn’t last 10 minutes with certain dogs. My dog is a bird dog and is, of course, supposed to bring you game that is in unmarked condition so you can eat it. She DOES occasionally tear up toys (most often, the toys she destroys are specifically “Dog toys” that were supposedly designed FOR Dogs. The squirrel toy is still going strong (after I fixed the tear–mainly so that it didn’t invite her to make it bigger.) Let’s face it–SOME dogs tear ANYTHING up–and I feel for you if your dog is one of those. We had a playdate with a friend’s German Shepherd this morning, and not only did that dog take my dog’s new tennis ball (oh, yeah, one of those designed FOR dogs–with cute little paw prints on it) and then just SIT on it so no one could throw it/chase it any longer–she also then proceeded to chew it in half. Again–the DOG-specific tennis ball did NOT hold up like a regular tennis ball. No biggie–we have hundreds of tennis balls. But that dog had some amazing jaws. Know your dog and make your purchases accordingly. I think the interest factor of this toy (toys within toy) keeps her coming back. I’ll put it for a few weeks and then get it back out and she loves it all over again.
Tough Little Skwerls. I bought these at the same time as I bought the Kyjen Hide-A-Squirel toy as I have 3 dogs and I figured at least one of the squirrels would get lost pretty quick leaving the dogs to squabble over the other two reamining squirrels. Ironically, all three of these squirrels are still present and accounted for though they are showing a bit of wear at this point. They are also covered with dog spit but as they are dog toys that is to be expected.I have 2 medium sized dogs and one huge dog. Two of the dogs play with these toys EVERY DAY and after almost 3 months they squirrels are just now starting to show noticeable wear. My dogs love to dissect their toys and remove the squeaker. If I am on the ball I find the squeaker and tie it up in a couple of pairs of old socks and return it to the dogs. This solves two problems: 1. The dogs are unable to injest the squeker and 2. I no longer feel obligated to try to find the mates to those socks. The dogs also love the squeaky sock toys and wiill still play with the squeakerless squirrel toy carcasses so this is truly a win-win situation. At this point, 2 of the 6 total squirrels I ordered are sans squeaker. Three out of the six are showing any real wear. One out of the six total looks like new, probably because it has been under the dresser for the past two months. So, these squirrels are smart as well, or at least one out of six is of above average intelligence. Well played, Kyjen, well played. These toys and the Kyjen Hide-A-Squirrel toy were all a big hit with my dogs, even with the dog that could care less about them because when I throw a squirrel for the other dogs to fetch, the dog who doesn’t play with the toys chases the dogs that are running after the toy and screws with the slower dog by latching onto one of his hind legs and making him fall down. So, these toys entertain the dogs that actually play with them, the dog that couldn’t care less about them, and me. That’s getting the most possible bang for your buck right there! This is the first time I bought any of Kyjen’s products and I would absolutely buy Kyjen products again as well as reccomend them to my dog-owning friends. These are awesome toys. Yes, the squirrels are on the small side but I was expecting that as I actually took the time to read the product description before I ordered them. My dogs do not care that the squirrels are kind of small and I don’t believe that the size of the toys has any impact on their durability or function. These are awesome dog toys. If you don’t get them for your dogs you are not a fun person and it’s highly likely that your dog pees on you as you sleep. I sure would. I mean I would if I were your dogs.Buy the damn toys already!*HERE’S MY REVIEW OF THE KYJEN HIDE-A-SQUIRREL TOY*This review is from: Kyjen PP01056 Hide-A-Squirrel Pet Toy, LargeI have 2 medium sized dogs and one giant dog and two of them love these toys. The other one likes to play with other dogs much more than she does dog toys so I’m not really surprised that she isn’t that into them. The wierd dog and the giant dog LOVE these toys and play with them daily. They have taken both the squirrels and the “tree trunk” outside, played tug-of-war with them and even buried them and the toys are still looking pretty good after a couple of months of rough, frequent play. Two of the squirrels are now without their squeakers as the giant dog loves to dissect them and remove the squeakers. This isn’t a problem, I actually expected he would have removed all of the squeakers by now and I bought three additional squirrels because I really expected these toys to wear out much more quickly. I’m pleasantly surprised at how well they are hanging in there. Of the six squirrels I ordered five are present and accounted for and the dogs play with all of them, even the ones giant dog has disemboweled.Yes, the squirrels are on the small side. I was not surprised by this as I took the time to read the complete product description. I don’t know how well other larger dogs would like these toys, my giant dog is touched in the head but very smart and he loves them despite the size.I have never ordered Kyjen products before ordering this Hide-A-Squirrel toy and the replacement toys and I am thrilled that the toys are of such good qulaity and that my dogs are getting lots of “play” out of them. Even the one dog that doesn’t like toys that much is entertained by them as she likes to chase the dogs that are playing with the toys and try to chew their legs off as they run. All my dogs are entertained and entertained dogs are dogs that are not running all over the neighborhood humping everything in sight or chewing holes in my socks.I would absolutely order Kyjen products again and I would order from this seller again. My items arrived one day before they were due and were packed appropriately. I would also reccommend both Kyjen and this seller to other dog owners and have already told my sister about these toys and how awesome they are.If I could give this product and this seller more than five stars I so would!
Perfect so far. My dog has a habit of tearing up toys in just a few minutes, so far, this toy has lasted a few days, the rope is already showing signs of wear.I wish there was a way to attach a new rope when this one goes…She is a mid-sized dog with a LOT of energy, and she’s very destructive, digging, chewing on things she’s not supposed to, etc. This helps with that, she can play with it for a long time, we don’t have to always ‘check’ to see if she is tearing something up.She loves grabbing it by the rope and swinging it around the sides of her head, it doesn’t hurt her, and she LOVES this toy. Out of ALL of the toys that we have bought her, and that she loved, THIS ONE has been top dog to her. We love watching her play with it, it also wears her out and she’ll then take a nap, which is always good.Oh yeah, the size if PERFECT for a mid-sized to a large dog, I’m not sure about any smaller dogs. She can squeak the squeaker on it fine too, but not at first, she had to ‘find out’ how to do it on her own.As far as chewing it into little pieces like one person has said, I can’t attest to that, and I hope that is not the case.I will return if she does end up chewing it into pieces, because she in known far and wide for that! 🙂
Amazing Value, Durable while providing Mental stimulation to dogs and puppies. These dog puzzle toys are an absolute amazing value! As a dog owner, I’m always on the lookout for ways to keep my puppy and mature dog entertained and mentally stimulated, and these toys deliver on all fronts. These toys are interactive and keep my puppy engaged and challenged as he works to retrieve treats from the cleverly designed compartments. Not only does it provide mental stimulation, but it also promotes problem-solving skills and prevents boredom.I’m also impressed by the durability of these toys. My puppy tears through every toy I’ve ever purchased. She is rough with them and non have lasted past a few days. We have had these toys for her to chew and play rough with and they’ve held up incredibly well, showing no signs of wear or tear. It’s clear that they’re made from high-quality materials built to withstand even the most enthusiastic play sessions. And let’s talk about value – getting two toys in one pack is a fantastic deal! It’s great to have options for different levels of difficulty and to switch things up to keep my dog engaged and entertained.Overall, these interactive dog puzzle toys have exceeded my expectations in every way. They’re durable, entertaining, and provide endless fun for my furry friend. If you’re looking for a way to keep your pup mentally stimulated and engaged, look no further than these fantastic toys!
Not super strong. The squirrels and the tree stump were so cute and fun, for awhile. My dog’s goal is to shred every toy. The stuffing was pulled out pretty quick out if the tree stump. Squirrels ears are gone. But they are still usable. I tend to try to sew things a few times before throwing them away. They are a good size and I think with other dogs they’d last longer, just not with mine. Good price though.
Fun and sturdy. My 14 year old dachshund doesn’t play with toys much anymore. She tears a new one apart and then abandons it. But this toy has lasted and she keeps returning to it. She likes pulling the little chipmunks out of their holes in the log and then chews on them. And they are still intact, which is not true of many toys. Also, there is not too much stuffing that gets thrown around the house. Overall a great impulse purchase.
(fur)baby’s first puzzle toy. My 40 pound lab mix is smarter than any dog I’ve ever had and is prone to boredom and restlessness. She’s also a teenager, so she’s got endless energy. I wanted to get her some puzzle toys but wanted to start basic, no levers or switches or multi-step. This seemed like a good option since balls are one of her favorite toys, and rolling it around seemed simple enough. Sure enough, all I had to do was fill the toy, set it on the floor, and roll it once before she realized this magical contraption dispenses yummy nuggets of deliciousness, gee thanks, ma!Kibble (or small treats) must be loaded through the two small holes in the ball. The ball does NOT come apart. Keep this in mind for larger kibbles, and for cleaning purposes. I just submerge it in hot soapy water and shake it around, then rinse it a few times until no soap remains. I knew this ahead of time by reading other reviews so it didn’t catch me by surprise. I could have probably found a similar toy that did come apart, but since I’d never tried a puzzle feeder before, I wanted to go with this cost-friendly option. We’re excited to try new puzzles when she gets bored of this one, but so far she still likes it!
A favorite toy. If you’re looking for a toy that keeps your dog entertained and stands the test of time, look no further than the Crinkle Octopus. This toy has become an instant favorite in our household, thanks to its ingenious design and durability. From the moment we introduced it to our dog last Christmas, she’s been obsessed. The crinkling sound immediately caught her attention, and she loves to shake it, tug on it, and carry it around the house like it’s her prized possession. The size is perfect for her to play with comfortably, whether she’s flinging it across the room or snuggling up with it for a nap. What really surprised us is its durability. Our dog is notorious for tearing apart toys within minutes, but the Crinkle Octopus has held up remarkably well. Despite her rough play and occasional chewing, it’s still intact and looking almost as good as new. The stitching is strong, and the material is tough enough to withstand her enthusiastic play sessions.Another great feature is its versatility. It’s not just a tug toy; it’s also soft enough for her to cuddle with, which adds to its appeal. Plus, the vibrant colors make it easy to spot, whether it’s under the couch or in the backyard. If you have a dog who loves toys that crinkle and need something that can handle rough play, the Crinkle Octopus is a fantastic choice. It’s durable, engaging, and has provided hours of entertainment without showing any signs of wear and tear. Highly recommend this toy for any dog who enjoys interactive play!
Crackle Crackle. I recently purchased this plush duck toy for my dog, and it has quickly become her favorite plaything! Here are a few highlights: • Interactive Sounds: The toy makes a variety of fun sounds that keep my dog engaged and excited during playtime. The sounds are a great way to stimulate her senses and keep her entertained. • Lightweight and Flexible: It’s incredibly light and flexible, making it perfect for playing fetch or just carrying around the house. My dog loves how easy it is to grab and shake. • Durable Design: Despite the rough play, this toy has held up remarkably well. The stitching is strong, and it has withstood plenty of tugging and tossing. • Perfect Size: The size is just right for my dog. It’s not too big or too small, making it suitable for dogs of various sizes. • Great Value: Considering the quality and the entertainment it provides, this toy is a fantastic purchase. It’s been a hit in our household and has provided countless hours of fun.Overall, I highly recommend this plush duck toy to any dog owner. It’s a perfect blend of durability, entertainment, and value. Your furry friend will love it!
The blue ball is better. It is easy to place treats in the blue ball but the opening in the green ball is very small so unless the treats are tiny, they don’t come out. My fog gets really frustrated and just gives up. It is then difficult for me to get the treats out do I can wash it. They are both quite durable. Neither of my dogs has been able to chew it.
Jack Russel Mix loves it. The media could not be loaded. This is the third puzzle I have purchased. I really like this little toy! Definitely a little hard for my old man that’s been out of puzzle practice! But he’s a determined little guy. With a little help on the last removable white cover, he finished it! Definitely a more intermediate level! It glides really easy, great performance, and easy to use because of the great quality! Definitely recommend this tornado puzzle! Would be great with younger dogs 8 months and up! Definitely supervise while using due to the removable parts. This puzzle will keep your fur babies entertained for a long time!
Good quality and cute. This is a great little ducky dog toy. I really like the fact that it doesn’t have stuffing in it because a lot of them that are stuffed if they get a tear in them or a hole dogs can cough (well my dog does) it’s made very well squeaks and size is great for a small dog medium or even a large dog. My Pomeranian is only 3 1/2 pounds so it’s perfect for her. She can just grab it and toss it around. I think the quality of this dog toy is really good and it’s really cute and the best part about it is the price point. The price was great. I highly recommend this dog toy five stars for me!
Train ‘em young. These squirrels are a bit smaller than the real ones outside, but a perfect size for our mini dachshund puppy! The small trunk is very tiny but very cute and makes for a great fourth toy. Our pup hasn’t quite gotten the hang of getting the squirrels out but her nose fits in the holes pretty well. She loves it! No smell, seems easy to wash in a machine, and a soft toy for teething.
A Feathery Friend for Endless Fun. My furry companion absolutely loves these Best Pet Supplies Chicken Crinkle Plush Dog Toys! They’re the perfect combination of soft, cuddly, and stimulating. The crinkle sound inside the toy is irresistible to my dog, keeping them entertained for hours. The chicken shape is adorable and the bright colors are visually appealing. The toy is also durable enough to withstand enthusiastic chewing and playing. It’s a great way to keep my dog mentally and physically engaged, especially on rainy days.I highly recommend these toys to any dog owner looking for a fun and interactive plaything. They’re perfect for puppies, seniors, or dogs of any age. Your furry friend is sure to love them as much as mine does!
Dog loved it. It’s got both a squeak beak and a crinkle noisy body. Held up pretty good but did get ripped up within a week. ( most do though with this pup!)
A Chewer’s Dream. As a proud owner of a particularly enthusiastic chewer, I’ve tried countless toys that were quickly reduced to shreds. But the Carllg Dog Chew Toys have been a game-changer. They’re designed to withstand even the most aggressive chewers, and my dog has been absolutely obsessed. Not only are these toys durable, but they’re also engaging. The unique textures and shapes keep my dog entertained for hours. I’ve even noticed that his chewing has become less destructive, as he now has a suitable outlet for his energy. If you’re looking for a toy that can truly stand up to your tough pup, I highly recommend the Carllg Dog Chew Toys
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME BUY. The media could not be loaded. Silver is a 6 month old pit mix and he is already a little picky with what toys he likes. These by far is the Best Buy I have done in a long time. He absolutely loves them and spends a good amount of time entertained. They are indestructible so far and the fact that you can put his favorite treats into them is awesome! Would recommend it 1000000%!!!!! I wish they had more of these similar to get them. Love them!
Great toy puzzle for my dog. Sadie delights in discovering on her own, her favorite treats. She has to figure out which slot to move to get her treats. This keeps her occupied and happy. Easy to clean and store away. I Recommend this for your pet.
Bunny toy. Got this for our pet rabbit. Didn’t take him too long to figure out how to get his treats. Great enrichment toy! Seems durable and has held up to him tossing it a little and pulling on it.
not chewed apart yet. I have a puppy and a pit bull lab who can chew through anything. These balls have held up to both of them for a couple of months now. The puppy even likes chewing the one with zig zags when there are no treats in it.
Very durable. This is the only toy I’ve bought for our dog, lemon, that he can’t demolish. Has held up incredibly well. The green piece didn’t last long, though.
Durable and fun. I have a 60 pound pitty puppy and this is a good toy for her. She is a super chewer and has not destroyed it. It keeps her busy until it runs out of treats. I mixed kibble w the treats. Good size. Good quality. Good value.
obsessed. We have 4 standard poodles and they love toys. Theyve been obsessed with this corn toy since i gave it to them. im on here to order another one.One Note: The rope/cord on the end was chewed up within the first hour. I just cut that off as its not an important part anyway.
Not as durable as I thought. I have it a four star because it only lasted a 2 months with my dog. I thought it would have lasted longer! However my dogs loved it and chewed on it all the time! I have two big dogs though so I am not mad that it didn’t last as long.
Dog puzzle. My large breed dog loves these toys. He is quite aggressive when on the mission to eat every treat inside the puzzle ball. Kept him entertained well
