Yes, Does What it Says it Does. After reading the few available reviews here and elsewhere I ended up purchasing this item. It was quite obvious from all written and video information what this product is and does.I have three full grown labs, two black and one yellow (Gracie, who sheds like it’s 95 degrees year ’round). Hair flies off Grace constantly as she walks around the house. I’ve used this thing on her several times now and actually looked closely for hair dropped on the floor during the process…I have yet to find ONE piece. It actually suctions from above the brush mechanism as you’re brushing with the button pushed so as to suck up (according to Dysons site) hair and allergens…seems to be so.Admittedly I was a bit skeptical and was more than prepared to return it should it not work well. I’ll not be returning it.Yes, it’s made out of plastic, like pretty much all other Dyson products. No, it’s not “cheap” plastic. It’s heavy duty, well made, well fit material.There are actually more bristles than I had thought based on the photos and they are smaller and shorter. I was worried they may not work well with medium length lab-hair…they do.Yes, hair and dust sticks to this, just like every other Dyson product. Get yourself some Static Guard spray or take a dryer sheet and wipe down all the surfaces that attract hair…problem solved. Actually Dyson should include an environmentally friendy anti-static spray or cloth with all their vacuums.The only slight issue I had was finding out whether it would work with my Dyson Vac…the DC23 Animal Canister. You’d think I wouldn’t even need to check, what with the “Animal” designation on the vac but the Dyson site was pretty ambiguous about it…saying that it wouldn’t work with some canister models, particularly the Motorhead versions…of which it seemed the DC23 Animal was one. Works fine with this canister and looks as if it would work with just about all the Dyson upright and canister vacs.The videos on the Dyson web-site are pretty impressive. So much so they tended to make me even more skeptical. I can tell you without a doubt they are not doctored in the least…when you let that button go and the bristles retract the hair disappears in a blink.Oh, yes and you should definitely either make sure your dog will tolerate the vacuum being so close first or be willing to put some time in to accustom him/her to it.I would highly recommend this item to anyone with a shedding pet (although the cat won’t have anything to do with it…yet)
Dyson Groom Awesomeness. Hi,I have had my DC50 for a little over a week now. All I can say is WOW. This vacuum has some great suction. I have a corgi, and as all corgi owners know, corgis shed A LOT. This vacuum picks up the hair in one pass. It works perfectly on my wood floors, rugs, and carpet. See below for details on the features of the vacuum/attachments.Cleaner HeadThe new cleaner head has carbon fiber bristles. This might sound a little bit “gimmicky” because of how everyone is starting to put carbon fiber into their products; however, it does serve a purpose. The previous brush heads only had the red bristles. They were good for cleaning carpets, but had to be turned off when cleaning hard floors so they wouldn’t scratch. The new cleaner head still has the red bristles, but the appear to be shorter so that they wont scratch the floor. The black carbon fiber bristles gently sweep hard wood floors. Also, the cleaner head adjusts automatically, creating the perfect amount of suction on every floor type.CanisterThe canister on this vacuum is not very large, but that is to be expected on the compact model. I especially enjoy the “hygienic” emptying feature. Just hold the canister over the trash, press the red button, and everything falls out the bottom. No mess, no hastles.Hose/CordThe power cord is sufficiently long… there isn’t really much else to say about it. The hose; however, is not very long. While this is the compact model, the hose can only be described as “too short”. You can purchase a hose extension for a nominal price, so this isn’t a deal killer.DurabilityDyson comes with a 5 year warranty and has excellent customer service, so I’m not really worried about durability. A lot of people complain that Dyson vacuums are made of plastic. This is not an issue, they are made from a very durable ABS plastic blend. (The same type of plastic used in riot shields)Dyson Groom ToolThis tool is nothing short of spectacular. Push the button, brush the dog, release the button and watch the hair get sucked away. DONE!Soft Dusting BrushExactly what it sounds like. This is probably the tool that I use the most. It has soft bristles, so you can use it to brush delicate items. I use it to dust my piano, tv, cabinets, lamps, pictures, art, etc.Hard Floor ToolThis tool is useful to get into tight corners where the vacuum can’t fit. (around plants and furniture)Multi Angle BrushI use this tool to dust he fans and the crown molding around my cabinets. It has two built in rotation points, so it can turned to virtually any angle.Mattress ToolI have no idea why Dyson named this the mattress tool. You can use it on so much more than the mattress. It is useful for any type of fabric. I use it almost daily to get the massive amount of dog hair off of my comforter.Combination ToolPerfect crevice tool with brush. I use it to clean the crevices in my couch and also on the baseboards.Tangle Free Turbine ToolI haven’t had a chance to purchase this. I am hoping to purchase this in the future.
A cat’s best friend. The media could not be loaded. After my senior kitty escaped outside one day, unbeknown to me, he brought home a few visitors, Upon discovering our very unwelcome houseguests, I began the daily chore of vacuuming every single day. Apparently, my cat soon figured out that where the vacuum went, the little bitey things were not. So, he started following me around as I was vacuuming, to the point that I had to start moving him out of the way to complete the chore. After about a week of this, and seeing how miserable the cat was (I had by that time got him re-started on Frontline and even a special medication from the vet), I had the brief insane idea that perhaps I could vacuum my cat to rid him and the house of fleas all the quicker.At first, I used a hand vac with a (non-rotating) bristle attachment. He actually enjoyed it! Over the next few days, he would lie down in front of the vacuum or follow me around until I vacuumed him again. As using a handvac on the cat was a little beyond awkward, I finally looked on line to see if there was another alternative for my Dyson Animal upright. Fortunately, there was.At first I was a bit skeptical because the description was a little vague as to how precisely it worked. It was easier than I thought. This thing does such a great job, is easy to use, and best of all, it got rid of the fleas! Of course, the fact that it got rid of loose fur before it ended up on my floor was a very welcome benefit.Today, more than a year later, my 14 year old cat still demands that I vacuum him on a daily basis (multiple times if I’m home on the weekend), even though fleas have been long since gone. I don’t mind, though, as it also helps cut down on both the shedding on the floor, but his hairball problem as well.
Excellent product. I have a husky and they non stop shed but especially spring and fall. It can be a disaster in the home but with this little tool I can suck most of it up before it hits the floor and he loves getting vacuumed. win win for both dog and owner

Dog Vacuuming is GREAT. The first time I used this product it turned into a frustrating fiasco!The second time I made changes including being in a smaller room. I left the long attachment pole in place and attached the hose with brush to it. Next I placed the canister as far away as possible, used the “trigger” lock, added peanut butter to a lick mat and…. SUCCESS!!!!I will continue to do small sessions of vaccuming as they get used to it.This is an incredible product and does a wonderful job on my Australian Shepherd and Chocolate Lab, can’t wait for another “vaccum” session :))Would definitely recommend to others!
Not compatible with my upright Dyson. I should have read more carefully… I hoped it would have worked for my Dyson but no it did not. I’m sure it would have been a good product but can’t really rate it honestly.

Fantastic. It works too well! What I mean by this is that the brush is so efficient, when using it on my 100 lb German Shepherd, I fill my Dyson V15 to the brim within a minute. This device is utterly fantastic. My dog was looking a bit rough, shedding his winter coat. I was hoping to find a product that would connect to my Dyson V15 and sure enough, found it on Amazon. Great price. Attaches easily. No instructions needed- it’s all intuitive. It is so effective in sucking up the shedded hair that I found I could use it in my house with nary a loose hair hitting the carpet. And it worked so well, filling the Dyson cannister so quickly, I decided to connect it to my shopvac with a much larger cannister. Worked very well with the shopvac too. For those complaining that the hose became detached too easily, I’ll bet they were pressing on the “detach” button inadvertently and that is easy to avoid. And my dog looks like a show dog now (OK, I am his proud owner).
VERY Handy. I was moderately skeptical, but this attachment was money VERY WELL spent! It works wonders on our Border Heeler which is in peak shedding season. It has the bonus of getting a decent amount of dander as well.Clips right up to my dyson big ball vacuum hose.Highly recommend.
Whoever invented this is a genius. I have a 7 month old male German shepherd. He sheds – a lot. I was using a Furminator on him every other day to remove hair. It worked, but I had to do it outside because all the hair it removed just went everywhere. This Kodahome grooming tool is very easy to attach to my Dyson Outsize vacuum cleaner. The comb removes hair just as well as the Furminator, and all I have to do next is push a button on top of the tool which drops the comb down so the vacuum can suck it into the canister. No hair flying around the room! No having to vacuum after I brush him! All done in one step. I’m so happy I found this! My dog is doing well with the vacuuming process overall. He doesn’t seem to mind being vacuumed. He’s just always been a little anstey when he gets brushed and he does like to try to bite the hose that attaches the tool to the vacuum. However, he’s still a puppy and a work in progress. I feel confident that with training and maturity he’ll settle down and accept the grooming process.
Golden pancakes. I hooked this up to my cordless Dyson and went to town on my golden retriever’s endless fur. The brush itself does a good job of loosening up the excess coat and the vacuum sucks in those golden pancakes of fur with ease. It’s very satisfying to watch the clump be sucked in. My dog doesn’t mind noise but I only turn the vacuum on once I have a full pancake of fur on the brush. If your pet is spooked easily this might not be the right option.The quality of the attachments is definitely not the same quality as the Dyson itself, but they fit the Dyson with no issues and feel sturdy enough to last a while.Overall, this has made grooming my pup a whole lot easier and I recommend it if your pup can deal with the noise!
SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT!!! A life saver. The media could not be loaded. I have tried so many brushes and a doggie vacuum. But I gave up and started taking my fur-baby (a Border-Pit rescue) that I have had for almost 10yrs now to the vet or local pet store because she hates baths, being brushed or deshedded, and leave her “border-pit glitter” ✨✨✨ all over my house. 🤣😂🤣 I thought I would never find anything that she wouldn’t run from or put up a fight for me to use on her myself until I found this brush and it works perfectly on my Dyson animal ball.This brush has been the answer to my prayers. She sits patiently as I brush her and as funny as it seems now when I stop she keeps nudging me for more. LOL
Fits my old dyson upright and works great. I was in the market for a grooming vacuum soley for the hair brush. My dog is crazy hairy and brushing is a major endeavor. After hearing how loud the grooming vacuum was I decided to give this dyson attachment a try. I bought a secondary adapter because this said it didn’t fit the dyson upright but it easily fit my old dyson D17. It came with three fittings and a combination of two worked. Also the product works just as described. The only thin I would improve is having to hold down the button the whole time. A lever of some sort would be great.
Dog and dog hair. It’s summer and my King is shedding constantlySo I splurged and got the grooming tool. I did not need another vacuum do I just got the attachments for 1/10 the price. In less than a week I get a cubic foot of dog hairs !!Excellent vacuum attachment for pet owners !!
good looking product but poorly made. I was excited to start using this grooming brush, as my dog is shedding everywhere. As soon as I opened the box and removed the hose from it’s plastic cover, I noticed the hose attachment look a little gimpy. when I tested it, the botton popped off! I treid to reset it, but the prongs that hold the button in place are not long enough to stay connected, and the button keeps coming loose. This is a problem, because it cannot secure itself to the brush head. I could not even try the brush, since it could not connect securely. Very disappointed, this one is going back.
Not great quality. unfortunately the spring button holding the tool popped off on the second use and was unable to get it to stay back on. Retuned item.
Returned. Seemed a little cheap compared to another brand.
Clever, but the cats refuse. I wish I could convince the cats not to bolt, but the loud machine needs to get a little too close for comfort in order to reach them with the hose and attachment. Nothing to report, unfortunately, but it is a creative addition, just wish I could utilize it!
This product is a total game changer. This is AMAZING. I have a great pyrenees and golden retriever. This vacuum grooming tool has totally changed our lives. Both of my dogs look like they just got home from the groomers every time we use it. You should see the amount of hair in the cannister! I don’t know about y’all, but when I’d brush my dogs out it felt never ending and I’d end up with hair all over me and stuck to my hands. This totally eliminates that problem. After 5-10 minutes (depending how long it has been since the last time I used it) the vacuum is no longer taking in any hair. Yes, you can actually finish brushing your dogs! I thought it was never ending before this. The vacuum is not too loud at all and it does not bother my dogs. I feel like it’s a little massage for them. The cannister holds a ton of hair. The price is very reasonable if you compare it to the cost of a groomer plus your personal time spent brushing nonstop. Highly recommend.
Must have dog grooming kit. This dog grooming kit is everything you need. I can’t believe I didn’t have one of these sooner. It’s does a fabulous job on my Golden Retriever. Love the trimming and not having his hair all over the place. Having all the different hair trimming sizes has been perfect for different areas of his body. The nail trimmer is a great added bonus. The quietness of the machine is amazing for my timid pup.
Such a great grooming tool. I had an old Oster grooming kit that was handed down to my dog from an older dog that passed away and it was so frustrating to use and there was always hair everywhere when I was done. I saw a video of a dog grooming vacuum kit and immediately went to Amazon to find one and got this one. It’s amazing, as soon as I received it I immediately unpacked it & charged it & looked through the many attachments it came with. My dog has hair, not fur so I knew I would not need some of the attachments like the deshedding tool but honestly when I used it on my dog she actually liked it. The unit is not loud but I turned it on & put it near my dog for a bit so she could get used to the noise & then used it a little on her paws. She immediately laid on her back and let me do every single one of her paws without her pulling away or biting me to stop. I’m going to use it in between her grooming sessions with the professional groomer to maintain her eyes, toe beans, and hygiene area clean. Definitely recommend this, oh and the best part, no hair everywhere cause the clipper connects directly to the vacuum which sucks up all the hair/fur you cut! Amazing!
Wow! Awesome. I was skeptical about this but my son really wanted to try it. We have two dogs we groom regularly and its a mess.This came today and the shitzu was in long need of a cut. Her hair was long and matted in some spots. So i figured lets give it a go right away. The clippers are amazing. Like butter. The hair being vacuumed was unreal. I was a little in disbelief bc it works so well. The best part is i do not have to change my clothes after grooming bc all of the hair is in the canister.Im on my way to try it out on my neighbors short hair dog that is shedding.

Excellent pet shedding tool. Works great. Dyson noise can be scary for your pet. The concept of use brush then turn vacuuming is extremely inconvenient. Also the brush fills quickly and has to have sucked out after almost every brush stroke.If you buy this for a double coat shedding dog, you will need to be very patient as it will take a while to complete the job.
