I was worried the black wouldn’t show up against our black fireplace, but it does pretty well! It’s nice quality, and fits perfectly.

Seems well made and the look is fantastic.
However, I agree with some of the other reviews that were upset with the picture. It seems intentionally deceiving. The only way to get as much overhang as depicted in the picture is to literally hang this from the very edge of your mantel. I do not have a large firelace, it’s a small electric. And I still am a little annoyed at the coverage…not deep enough and too long on the sides. So I could definitely see people being disappointed with this purchase if they have a full size mantle.
But for the price you can’t really be too upset. A similar looking one sells at Target for $19.99
(Please ignore where my puppy has gnawed on my fireplace 😒)

I used this on my mantle and wow it really ups the spookiness of the house. It is certainly not the finest lace in all the land, but it is strong and survived my having to get wax out of it just fine. I imagine I will use this for decades to come.
