Stylish and adds peace of mind. It’s nice, sturdy and feels like metal. The set up was simple and I feel more secure if I ever lost my baby. They can just scan and get all the info they need to contact me and reunite us. When I scan I get an alert right away letting me know his tag has been scanned. Let’s hope that never happens but it’s nice to be prepared just in case. For now it looks nice and pretty on him ❤️
Split ring too big. The media could not be loaded. Just got it today so I can’t attest too much to the sturdiness. The tag itself feels like plastic but that seems more reliable in the sense that it won’t diminish over time like engravings in metal. The silver split ring it comes with, however, is very large compared to the tag. It’s a little bigger than the tag. When I had the silver split ring connecting the tag to the collar, my pup was trying to bite it off since it was getting in the way. Once I connected it directly (with the small gold ring attached to the collar) there wasn’t any issues with my dog trying to take the tag off. I liked the silver split ring (although I wish it were gold as well to match) but it doesn’t fit directly to the tag. The tag’s hole is too small. Which sucks because the silver split ring is much more sturdy than the golden ring provided. My dog has managed to destroy every non-flat split ring so far. So ring strength is very important. Time will only tell if I will need to replace the ring (I’m assuming I will need to since the ring that fits is the standard round wire). As Since the tag feels like plastic, it is very light and doesn’t make the tag hang down like a metal tag would. I honestly like that a bit better since I have a golden metal chain collar for my pup. The chain is somewhat loose so I like that the tag isn’t too heavy. The only thing I wish they would’ve had was the option to put a phone number and my dog’s name on the front. Some people (especially older folk…and even me a few years ago) don’t know how to work QR codes. So it would be beneficial to have that option instead of just having the QR code alone. Nonetheless, setting up all the info for the QR code was very easy. It even shows nearby dogs that are registered for this website as well. I’d recommend this to folks that already have name tags for their dogs and want to provide additional info than just the dog’s name and your phone number. The QR code allows you to tell your dogs temperament, rabies info, microchip number, vet info, etc.
Travel Kitty Approved. After working at a pet clinic/spa, I’ve learned that having your information on your pet’s tag or collar isn’t safe. So I was looking for an alternative and this seemed like a great option.I received my package today and I am very happy with my purchase. The tag itself was bigger than I expected, but it works perfectly fine on my cat’s harness. It was very easy to set up with the instructions provided. I love that your information is safe and only those who scan the tag can see your information. It also alerts your email when the tag been scanned and gives you the location. I’m surprised with how detailed you can be with your pet’s profile, you can customize it to your pet’s uniqueness. Since I take my cat everywhere with me this tag gives me peace of mind. I would definitely recommend this!
I feel safe!!! Greatest dog tag ever. This QR code pet tag is the best!! It took just a few seconds to setup. I even had my neighbor scan it to test the notifications and profile. It’s way better than a regular tag and I plan to buy a few more for my family. If you want that extra bit of safety this is the exact pet tag you need.
Great tag, the service to store and display your info had some issues at first, but it is fixed now. I have had the tag for a few months now and it is holding up well. It is easy to scan the tag and bring up the information that we entered. It was difficult to create my account at first and I had trouble getting the tag registered. Apparently I had the bad luck of signing up in the middle of backend changes. But the Hey Buddy customer care eventually worked out the issues.
Worn out ID tag but replaced. I purchased this on September 2023 and the part of the tag is already worn out. The vendor seen my review and immediately contacted me. They not only sent me one replace but they sent me two. They are also working on a new design to prevent this from happening again. Thank you for the great customer service
Simple and works. It’s easy to set up and very cute and durable. I just hate how difficult the ring is to open. It has made it difficult to move between different harnesses as my pup grew
Be aware that, in addition to the purchase you do have to pay a monthly subscription. Please be aware that you do have to pay a subscription. This is just a purchase of the item. But other than that, I really like it.
Not satisfied. The only good thing about this tax is how soft and flexible it is, conforms to shape of collar. But I have had multiple people try to scan the tag to test it out and it leads them to a dead link. Even after trying to download the app from the app store it still doesn’t show them any info that would be helpful in getting my cats home. The App looks like it’s showing me lots of info about my cat but when other people try to access that via QR code on the tag, they get looped into an App cycle of having to download something and creating an account. This is not what I thought it was. People who find my animal outside should be able to reach me quickly via scanning the code and it triggering a warning on the app for me to look at. The neighbors and friend who I asked to test the tags on stated that some people would give up and leave the cats alone cause it’s a lot of time wasted being forced to download the Hey Buddy app. I would ask for a refund but I wanted to give it enough time to formulate an honest opinion and missed the return window. I’ll just consider it a loss.
Easy set up. This product is so easy to set up on your phone, you can set up 10 emergency contacts. Every once in a while I will track her on the app when my husband takes her for a walk just to make sure it is working. I have also had my husband take a picture of the QR code to make sure I get the notification. It has word every time. It fits nice and snug on her collar and does not get snagged on anything in the wood. Have been using for a few months and very happy with product.
Small. I’m not sure. My puppy is a smaller dig 20lbs full grown. This fits on his collar when ends are stretched. It’s small but does the job. I like that it doesn’t hang and get in his way. I don’t know how it will age. Fyi he’s chipped too.
Nice idea but…. I liked this idea at first until I realized you cannot track your dog if they get loose. You will only know their location if a person finds them and scams the QR code on the back of the tag. I had to return.

Easy to set up. I like that it is all metal. I had one that was like rubber and it broke. This one is great.
Easy to Register-Peace of Mind. This QR Code Dog Tag is a nice supplement to your pet’s microchip, or peace of mind in case your pet is not microchipped. You activate the tag when your pet is lost. When someone finds them, they can scan the tag to obtain your pet’s information (while your personal information stays secure), along with the option to either call or email you. It is very easy and quick to register this tag. We have one for each of our dogs. Hopefully we never have the need to use them, but it is great peace of mind to know we have this extra step of security in place for them.
Already been used. I received a very pretty tag and was highly disappointed when I scanned it that it already belonged to a German Shepherd in another state. Go with some other company.
Great item. It took quite sometime to ship. But it’s worth it. Easy set up. Perfect size, color and easy to scan the QR code. Great value. It’s not too thick and pretty lightweight. Great quality tag. I wish it has a rubber edges so it won’t clink so much, but I’m happy with it.
