Amazing product. My previous review is below[Updated review] 3/22/24I previously stated that the battery compartment was faulty. That is the furthest thing from the truth.The reason I said it was because I didn’t know that after changing the settings or whatever you’re doing on the screen it goes into a “locked mode” to prevent your pooch 🐶 from pressing the buttons (Genius!) so I wasn’t aware of it so when I was pressing all the buttons except the correct one to take it out of that mode. I thought it wasn’t responding because the batteries kept getting disconnected due to it being faulty.I should’ve figured it was fine when I discovered in the morning that food had dispensed that it was a me issue and not the dispenser.I really do highly recommend this dispenser it’s great as long as you use the safety strap to keep the top closed.TL;DRGreat product with many dispensing times highly recommended. When you’re done adjusting the settings the screen will lock and you’ll need to press the top left button to adjust the settings again. Lastly it is wise to utilize the safety strap that comes with it.[Previous review]I’ll start with the positives of this product.It does hold a lot of food! I don’t have to constantly refill the food as fast as I do with my other automatic feeder.Setting up the time and feeding schedule is easy (as long as you read the instructions first) there is a lot of feeding time slots. They have them labeled as Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There’s even brunch options in between them and a 5th and 6th meal too.Unfortunately there is a big negative when it comes to the product. The battery compartment doesn’t hold the batteries in well.Whenever I put the batteries in and my dog moves it a little too much (not knocking it over or anything) when she eats from it or sniffs around it too hard the batteries seem to pop out and it loses power (obviously) so if I’m not constantly checking on it to ensure that the batteries didn’t pop out again she won’t get fed.I’ve had to do the process of turning the whole feeder upside down, undoing the battery compartment, fixing the batteries, closing the compartment, and then resetting the current time at least 6 times and I’ve only used it for only 4 days. It’s quite irritating.I did use the power cord for the first day (before I could buy the required 4AA batteries) and my puppy chew it right up. I was devastated but it was my fault because I should’ve known to have the batteries before using the product.The product could be really great if it wasn’t for this battery issue.I am going to try and macgyver it and see if I can figure out a solution, if not I will unfortunately be returning it because it would be useless to me.(I will come back with an update)
Complete life saver for us. This feeder is our first automatic feeder and it is a life saver for us. We just got a pair of kittens and they are hungry boys. We were running back and forth to feed them and to make sure that they don’t go hungry, ever. We could not stay out for more than three hours and had to rush back home to feed the babies. Anyways this feeder is a game changer. It has ample storage for food. Very safe design which can’t be tripped over easily and the food is secure out of the reach of the kittens. One of them found a way to shove his paw up to get a few pieces of dry food but it does not dispense much. Love the feature that the food can be dispensed from anywhere in the house. Have not tried from outside yet. Have made a complete feeding schedule for the kittens which dispenses food in 1 or 2 servings according to the set time, automatically. Set it once and forget as it keeps repeating the same schedule each day. You can set it as you wish. Portion sizes and times are completely customizable. What a relief. Now we can concentrate on playing with the kittens and having a good time minus the constant run to feed them. Kittens as we all know can be a handful. Can leave the house with the peace of mind that the kittens will be well fed and on time. What a great gadget. If you have a pet, must have this. Highly recommend it! Works flawlessly and keeps life very easy and the pets happy.
Worked well. It works well and it was easy to set up if you follow the instructions. Holds plenty of food for my cat and doses a good amount. The noise it makes when it dispenses food is annoying but only lasts a second. No problem with food spilling out, but a few kibble will come down if she sticks her paw up it a lot. It’s supposed to take a battery back-up but the compartment DOES NOT fit standard batteries? Too small for AA, too big for AAA. If battery usage is important to you, this may not be the one you need. I was pretty bummed about that, but it otherwise works well. I like that you can remove the bowl to clean it.
Absolutely love this product. This cat feeder is worth the money. I’ve had it for well over a year now, and it works wonderfully. It took a little finessing to figure out the portions each number represents, but other than that, it’s very intuitive and user friendly. I like that the button area locks, so that the cats couldn’t somehow bonk it and dispense food. The lid on top is securely locked on, and my Houdini cat hasn’t been able to pop off the lid (unlike a lot of automatic feeders he’s been able to jury rig). It’s easy to fill with dry food. I like that it has a battery backup in case the power were to go off (if you have it plugged into an outlet). This is well made and worth the money. My cats love it, as it gives them a consistent meal schedule. And I love it.
Great product, very convenient. My cat used to bother us constantly to be fed, always crying and meowing.Since he has gotten used to the machine part of it I don’t have him bothering everyone who walks by his food bowl. Very nice, the timer and quantity settings make it a convenience I never knew I needed.
They work well. We got one each for our three cats on Prime Day. They were easy to set up and have worked reliably in the month since we got them. It did take the cats a couple of weeks to get comfortable with their robot overlords, but they meow less to us humans now about food and they jet off to the feeders when they hear the sweet sound of kibble hitting the bowls. I particularly like that you can adjust the volume of food – the smallest serving size seems to be about 1/8 cup. Since our cats get 1/2 cup per day, it gives flexibility for spacing out feedings. The hoppers accept approximately 2 pounds of food at a time, and the lid has a rubber gasket, so the food stays pretty fresh and lasts for a couple of weeks before a refill, so the cats are set for whenever we take a trip.
Easy to operate and very convenient. I have been using this pet feeder for half a year already and it works great! Helps tremendously when you have a busy life or go on vocations. The app will notify when it dispenses and also has battery backup incase the power goes out. Great way to portion your pets food every time and make sure they are getting what they need for their diet. Highly recommended
Really useful, charge doesn’t last long. This is amazing for my cat. It works really well and you can set up to 6 times you want it to feed your cat throughout the day and each with different serving sizes. I have mine set to 8am and 8pm every day with 3 serving sizes and my cat knows when it’s almost time to dispense and to wait until all 3 servings are done dispensing. It’s kind of funny tbh. The only downsides are the recording feature which I wasn’t wanting to use but for anyone that does, it’s kind of really bad quality. The other thing is the charge. I have batteries (which are not included with the feeder) in mine so it could stand alone but the batteries only lasted about a month before I had to start using the charger for it, which did help the batteries for another week or two but after that the batteries are pretty much shot and now it has to be next to an outlet at all times of the day until I go buy new batteries. I’m not opposed to it being near an outlet for now but it is inconvenient that I already have to buy new batteries for it. Other than that, this is an amazing cat feeder and while I didn’t get the Wi-Fi one, I still highly recommend it to people who are interested.
